YouTube channel update

a few weeks ago I said that I was going to be starting a new YouTube channel. I spent loads of time editing and filming new videos and they looked really good. however when I uploaded a 2 minute teaser to twitter I was horrified at the scale of hate that I received. I have decided that I do not want to carry on with my YouTube channel until I feel that I can deal with the hate.

My first youtube video

this is only going to be a short update about my new youtube channel.

a few days ago I posted a post saying that I was going to be making a new youtube channel, well I have. I filmed my first youtube video and I am editing it. so I just wanted to tell you about it. I cant leave a link to the video as I haven't uploaded it yet. it will be uploaded on the 3rd of January at 6pm uk time.

I this video I chatted about bullying. bullying is a subject that I very close to my heart, as I have had to deal with it myself and that is the reason why I have self-esteem issues and social anxiety.

I think that I is important for people to talk out about their problems and that is why I wanted to talk about it in my first video.

I am going to be uploading the video on the 3rd of January as I said before. so I hope that you enjoy it when you watch it and I hope that it in some way help you xxx

AFTER CHRISTMAS A GOING TO BE STARTING A YOUTUBE CHANNEL. IT IS GOING TO BE ABOUT BEAUTY, FASHION AND LIFESTYLE. I AM ALSO GOING TO BE MAKING A VLOGGING CHANNEL AS I AM GOING TO HOLLAND AND GREECE IN THE NEW YEAR AND I THINK THAT IT WOULD BE THE PERFECT TIME TO START. THE VLOGS ARE GOING TO HAVE TO BE FILMON MY IPHONE BUT IF I GET ENOUGH VEIW THEN I WILL BE BUYING A PROPER VLOGGING CAMERA (CANON G7X)

I AM GOING TO BE UPLOADING MY FIRST VIDEO, WHICH WILL BE MY DECEMBER FAVORITES, ON THE 3RD OF JANUARY.

ALSO, I AM GOING TO BE GETTING A LAPTOP FOR CHRISTMAS, THIS WILL MEAN THAT I WILL BE ABLE TO WRITE BLOG POST WHERE EVER I GO.

I think that a nice thing to receive is a bath bomb. There are many different bath bomb that are available. some of my favourite ones are from lush and the zoella fizz bar.

I think that they have been doing it for a few years now, but I always buy about 5 of these and then save them so that whenever i feel like i am having a bad day (in the new year) I always chuck one of these into the bath and they really lift my spirit as they remind me of the festive period.

Also many places such as newlook have 50% off all winter clothing when i am writing this post, which I think is even more of and excuse to get yourself or your friends a lush cosy jumper.

Why i havent written a new blog post in a while.......

Hi again.....

I am really sorry that I haven't written a new blog post in a few week I was on holiday and then I was really busy with school work and other things like that.

I am really hoping that I can get back to writing a new blog post every Saturday or Sunday depending on how busy I am. I might have to start writing then every other week soon as I have some exams in my school that I really need to revise and put my full attention on.

 

A really exciting thing that is happening soon is that I am hoping that I will start my own YouTube channel. I will hopefully be starting it a few days after Christmas or the beginning of the new year.

 

 

also I just wanted to quickly tell you want I have been loving to wear at the moment. I live the UK so it is very unpredictable with the weather. some days it can be really warm and other days it can be freezing cold and raining.

also I have been wearing my pointless blog 'sorry about my hair' beanie and also a maroon beanie that I got from new look a couple of years ago. I cant give you the links because the pointless blog one was limited edition and the maroon one was from a couple of years ago. But I think that any beanie that kind-of matches the colour of your jumper of shoes is a win.

 

the make-up the I have been wearing is very minimal as I having been to the docot6r and go tablet that are supposed to make my acne better. that means that I have been told that I shouldn't wear a lot of make up. therefore, I have been wearing my Revlon colour stay concealer and my no7 mascara.

 

I have discovered some new products that I am loving but I think that I am going to save then and put then into another blog post all buy themselves so that I can really chat about them and also tell you hat I have been loving about them. pretty much like a monthly favourites.

ILLNESS DAYS

 

A few days ago I was ill with the flu so I am going to tell you a few of my favourite thing to do to make me feel better when I am ill.

FOOD

As I said in my last post my favourite food at the moment is nutella. so while I have been ill I have been making myself a snack of nutella cake pops. it is one chocolate chip muffin crumbled up in a bowl and then half a cup u8p nutella added and then mixed all together and then put on cake pop sticks. it is honestly one of the best pick me up food to watch with a film when you are feeling ill along with pizza and popcorn.

YOUTUBE

There is nothing better for me than to sit down and watch YouTube. but it is even better when I feel ill because it means that I can just chill and unwind. there I nothing I love more than creating a playlist of all my favourite videos and then sitting down and watching the. I normally light a candle and make myself popcorn of the nutella cake pops. the youtubers that I have been watching are Joe sugg (thatcherjoe), zoe sugg (zoella) and oli white (oliwhitetv).

MUSIC

I am a firm believer that music calms the soul. also playing really soothing music help me get to sleep which is something that I struggle to do when I am ill. so I put my headphone into my phone and just listen to the rain music on Spotify which I what I find the most relaxing

FASHION.

As with most people the last thing on my mind when I am ill is fashion. so I normally just end up wearing my pj's all day or a top and some tracksuit bottoms. however if for some reason I have to drag myself out of bed and away from Netflix and YouTube then I normally wear my thatcherjoe( Joe sugg top and some black leggings and my maroon converse.

 

MAKE-UP

Along with the disability of not being able to choose a fashionable outfit to wear my ability to do my makeup also goes out the window when I am ill some I tend to stick to a very minimal makeup look if I have to go anywhere otherwise I don't wear makeup. I just simply put my Revlon colour stay concealer on any major blemishes and I don't even bother to powder.

So far this winter has been great and I have really been enjoying the winter fashion that I have seen popping up in shops. my favourite season for clothes is winter. I just really enjoy that dark colours and being able to wear a cozy jumper and snuggle up with a blanket and watch Netflix on the cold winter nights.

 

 

WINTER CLOTHES

 

But anyway, the clothes that I have been loving are my black jeggings for new look. They are around £15 but I have had them for about 2 months and even though I think they are more for winter they can easily been summer jegging as well. I usually wear them with either a burgundy top and a beany on days that are cold but not that cold or my grey jumper that says new York on it that I also got from new look that was around £10.

 

 

WINTER MAKEUP

 

My 'go to' makeup look for the winter is extremely simple it is just my Revlon colour stay concealer (I skip foundation and just use the concealer to cover really bad blemishes) and I blend that out with a costal cents brush. then I powder my face with that Revlon colour stay powder in light. I have oily skin so I find that using a long lasing concealer is best because it means that I don't really have to powder my face during the day witch stops my face from getting cakey. After that I just apply a matte brown eye shadow for 'the body shop'. then to my lips I just apply either a pinkie nude lip-gloss or if I am feeling a little bit more daring I apply a matte berry shade.

 

 

WINTER FOOD AND MOVIES/TV SERIES

 

 

One of the thing that I have recently been loving is nutella. I have found my self craving nutella. My favourite snack while watching a movie is popcorn with nutella. I just put the jar of nutella, with the lid off, in the micro wave for about 10-15 second till the nutella is melted and then drizzle it over the popcorn it is the perfect movie snack to eat by yourself or to share with friends at sleepover or pamper evenings.

My favourite movies/TV series have been blackfish, the walking dead and pretty little liars. I have been hooked on watching them.

My name is Mel. I am a British teenager, with a young and up-to-date outlook on all things beauty and fashion related. This blog is going to be where I post pictures and review beauty products and show you the best things to buy and where to buy them. I will also show you what I wear on holiday, to party's, out for meals and other outfits to were to different events and occasions.

All in all this is going to be a beauty and fashion blog with some extras added in now and again.
